The region of Provence is more than splendid. Experience local markets and small villages. The coast is magnificent with plenty of "calanques", small beaches, and clear deep blue water. Try local food specialties. Thanks to all the herbs that grow in that area, the food is very flavorful. Provence is well known for its "fruits confits." The "clementines confites" were the best I have ever had! If you want to see the lavender in full bloom, May and June are the best months.
